While "Diablo 3" is set to introduce various new features, players will not be able to see player-versus-player content for some time. The new feature will give players who have already reached level 70 more objectives to accomplish. The new update will also include the "Season Journey" feature, currently available for PC only. Crafting has also been improved to be easier and more seamless. Kanai's Cube will enable players to break down Legendary items and use them as passive skills. Players also have the chance to obtain Kanai's Cube, a powerful new relic. According to IGN, it will be a frozen land called the Ruins of Sescheron, once belonging to the Barbarians. The Patch 2.3.0 will provide new game content and improvements with the current gameplay. "Diablo 3" players can also look forward to a major update. We'll probably go back and revisit that decision," Foote added. "I think maybe that's something we need to re-evaluate again. However, due to the feedback they received from players, it seems that Foote may be rethinking this decision. "The initial feeling was with consoles, because of the way it's set up, it can't support leaderboards and the online community isn't the same – there's a lot more playing with friends on a couch rather than in a general community," Blizzard senior game producer, Rob Foote, said.įoote places importance in allowing players to fully experience the game and feel that they belong to a large community, something that initially he didn't feel was possible for the consoles. The Seasons format reportedly did not translate well with the consoles. According to Blizzard, it was made available to PC only due to the always-online game requirement. Unfortunately, the Seasons feature has been a PC-only exclusive. Once a season concludes, the players will revert back to their non-seasonal hero. The goal is to be able to collect as much loot as they can within a specific time period. The Seasons feature allows players to create a new Seasonal Hero and go through the game again once more. One of the key features of "Diablo 3" has been the "Seasons" format.
